Chronosquare Blackout
September 2005 - November 2005
The period without a proper layout. I had rededsigned the site but was unhappy with the new layout, and opted to go with layout-less page for a very short period of time. Of course, what was originally going to be a few days ended up being a few months. I of course blame the start of residency for the hiatus.

Chronosquare version 5.2
July 2003 - August 2005
Receiving an early redesign, the current rendition of the site is essential a revision of what version 3 (August 2000 - August 2001) looked like, except black text on white background instead of vice-versa.

Chronosquare versions 5 and 5.1
September 2002 - June 2003
The 5th design is an combination of the elements I liked from the 3rd and 4th designs. In retrospect, it was rather bland and lacking in style. (click for a screenshot)

Chronosquare version 4
September 2001 - August 2002
To the dismay of many, the style of the page was changed. However, most of the programing and graphics fundamentals were only slightly more matured. This was the design that was up until September 2002. Looking back, although this design had more advanced coding and was easier to navigate, the 3rd version was more pleasing to the eyes... as many people had pointed out. (click for a screenshot)

Chronosquare version 3
August 2000 - August 2001
Out of a fit of dementia, the design was redone from scratch. This is to what I consider to be the first mildly aesthetically-pleasing version of this site. It was the "sine-dna-wave" design that was devised out of the insanity while studying for the MCAT exam, it was also at this time that Dinh, Jeff, and I really pushed each other in terms of design. (click for a screenshot). It was also at this time that the site moved to www.chronosquare.com

Chronosquare versions 2 and 2.5
(aka: The Corners of My Sphere):
July 1998 - (December 1999) - July 2000
On revision, frames were introduced into the second version, as was well as a simple, consistent, and unified design. The site was now moved to the now defunct Xoom hosting service. In December of 1999, I was challenged by my friend Alex, on both technical and artistic grounds to improve my own site when we were working together (and against each other) on designing our karate website. Alex was miles ahead of me in terms of website design and ideology. Changes to the still second version were the elimination of the frames, multiple pillaged design ideas from Alex (such as resolution adapting tables), and my cumbersome introduction to Adobe Photoshop. However, this was only on the front news page (click for the news page screenshot) that the changes were applied. Inside the other pages, everything was still the same.

Chronosquare version 1
(aka: F1, Squaresoft games, and Piano Music):
September 1997 - June 1998
In 1997, this website was launched by a 16-year old grade 12 student with no programming knowledge whatsoever. The original intention was to go with the flow established my friends, Aaron, Sander, and Janet. I was competitive and wanted to out do them. The first incarnation of this site was mostly centered pictures that eventually led the use of clunky image maps. This site was hosted first at Anglefire, and then at Tripod.
