Calgary International Airport: When we left Calgary, it was -40 C. These photos are from the Calgary airport. The weather however, was much crazier in Vancouver, where 2 feet of snowfall had grinded the airport to a standstill. Our flight from Vancouver to Hong Kong was delayed by 6 hours.

Vancouver International Aiport: Mmm, Dim Sum + Sushi, two of my favorite foods rolled together into one happy restaurant. Eating the two together at the same time though is something that I dare not do. We ended up opting for a Dim Sum lunch.

Hong Kong International Airport: We finally arrived in Hong Kong, about 7 hours later than scheduled. The Hong Kong Airport Authority had these temperature scanners that we all had to pass through, just like out of the "Predator" movie. It was to screen for people with fevers, to make sure you're not harbouring SARS, Bird Flu, or Starbucks. Anyone who was caught with a fever, they pulled them aside, blindfolded them and shot them execution style without any questions. They also had these funky breath mints in the customs area. Individually wrapped for your safety, they freshen your airplane breath for the safety of your friends and family. The rest of the photos are from the Airport Express train that takes you into the city. In all of the photos taken during the first few days, I was horridly sleep deprived, and I looked like a Raccoon or Tanooki creature of some sort. I actually stayed awake the entire flight over reading a book on electrocardiograms cover to cover. Sick eh?

Photos from Tsim Sha Shui and Victoria Peak Nov 29-30: After having early morning dim sum with some relatives on both days, we mostly ended up shopping, hence the lack of photographs. On the second day, I met up with someone and went up to Victoria Peak. Hmmm, not terribly exciting those days I must admit because of the jet lag. I still look like a raccoon though. The orange thing in the photo there is sweet tofu with mango juice and fruit. It was very good. Chinese people can make all sorts of tasty food with just tofu and gluten, it is really quite amazing.

Time for some Engrish Lessons Dec 4-5: Yes, that's right, that is indeed "suck" written on that woman's back. And that is a modified minivan with full body kit, tint, smoked headlights, ground kit, and 19" rims.
